Shop update - 9 pictures summing up summer at DSP

(download)

Summer at Don't Stop Printing has been great, new equipment and new projects. At the beginning of the summer I had a home made press, a hose and a small exposure unit. After a two day mad dash from Olympia to Wyoming in June, we had a new eight layer press, twenty four screens and all the accessories. It was time to build. Over the course of the summer we built a washout booth, a dry cabinet, a new exposure unit, and ink table and the most exciting piece - a large format fabric printing table. All that was needed to go into production were a few odds and ends and a forced air conveyor dryer for curing the ink on printed shirts.

The dryer came from Canada and ended up frying when we plugged it in. Our fault, but luckily we live next door to an electrical engineer. By the time this happened my main contributors of help had left - Vince went back to school and my Dad moved to Indonesia.

Towards the end of the summer, the shop slowed down and new projects came up. I built a few bikes. And, painted a bench for the PBIA of the city of Olympia - you can see pictures of that endeavor in the last post. Also, I finally got to use the shop for a few jobs before Evergreen started back up.

Don't Stop Printing has been in hibernation for a minute, but the shop has been reorganized and is almost completely cleaned up after a long summer. I'm in school, but ready to get started...

...and it just don't stop...
